hydraulics, leave to the pros? or can a fella tack

I have zero experience or knowledge of hydraulics. Found a huge loader for my H though. External reservoir which feeds back into the belly pump fill tube. has two 8 foot long hydraulic rams, the owner told me the max lift height at bucket pins around 12 ft. How should I tackle this? Should I install on the tractor and drive it to a hydraulic shop and let them put in new seals on the rams, and have them flush the hoses out to start?
