Well I started with a '48 Case SC and now I'm looking at a 1962 IH 606 (still have the SC but need something with a WF in my heavy clay). I've read all the past posts and it looks like people generally think this is a good tractor although may be a little hard to find parts. I've included all the numbers I could find on the tractor below. Here's my big question: how much should I pay for this thing? It has a good looking IH 2000 loader on it and 6147 hrs. Looks to be a layer of oil or hydro fluid over most of the engine. Front and rear tires are in very good shape. Sheet metal is so-so. I need something for moving dirt and hauling firewood from the woods. Thoughts??? The place is asking $4,000.
