Bill: My dad had both nf and wf for his 300 when tractor was new. He never used the wide front, thus he sold it. About 10 years later, I wanted a wide front for 300. An AC dealer (2 brothers) had a used Super H with wf. I offered one of the brothers $100. plus my nf and I do all the work of changing front ends. He took me up on it, however later the other brother did a lot of grumbling. That would have been in the late 60s. Still later I decided I wanted a nf back. I found about a dozen of them at an IH dealer $10. each. I rather doubt if inflation has nf much higher than that today. I know my brother was given a nf off a SC for his 230, just 2 years ago. You do a bit of looking, I think you will find a regular 2 wheel NF for a song. Your going to pay close to $500. for a wide front in fair condition. My bet is one of the new after market wide fronts will be most economical in long run. Just my assessment of wide fronts I've seen in scrapyards.

Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start
