Sent my mag off to be reconditioned. Now ready to be put back on tractor, Farmall M. The manual says turn the rotor counterclockwise until the rotor is pointing at No. 1 terminal. Someone has marked an arrow which turns backward when I do this. Is this correct? Is there a way to test and see if it is firing? My fan drive pulley has three notches. Two close and one by itself. Top dead center of No. 1 piston is closest to the two notches. Is this the correct first notch the manual talks about?
