350U Power Steering

Every now and then fluid drips out of the bottom of the power steering box and down the sides of the frame. Yesterday while adjusting the front wheel spacing and toe in it leaked out about a 1/2 cup. Looks like it is coming out of a "freeze" type plug on the bottom of the box. Is that a common problem and is it a hard fix? Also the fluid is a muddy color, looks real nasty.
