Use main and rod bearings to fit the 450 crank and it works with no problem.The 450 rods are same length as M but have a smaller wrist pin hole.M rods will work with 450 crank.Whichever rods you use the piston and pins need to match. The 4-1/8 inch 450 pistons go in M block if not using sleeves.4 inch and sleeve is biggest in M block without machine work.IH used to make fire crator piston sleeve sets 4 inch bore with small wrist pin like the 450 rod.Don't know if anyone still makes them that way or not.450 gas head and cam will increase power of the M.Also adapter wrist pin bushings available so the pistons out of the M could be small pin.
