I have replaced them in all four of my tractors (2h"s-2m"s), and mine were all 5/16x1 1/2" long. I just drove them through and they"ve held for years. I hand crank "em every once in awhile to show my friends how it was done way back when. I just went to napa or the farm store and got some 5/16 round stock and cut "em to length, and drove them in.
