I started mowing with an "A" about 8 years ago. It did very well in 2nd gear with a Woods L59 belly mount mower deck. About 2 years ago I bought a Super "A" and transferred the deck to it. The live hydraulics made lifting the deck much easier. I also transferred the rear tires wich were Bridgestone 11.2-36 diamond treads. It also does a real good job in second gear. The only time I would like to go slower is when I'm trimming around the house. Good Luck!
