Remove the valve cover and look for the number -- someone will tell you what it is. Don't think you can tell the heads apart otherwise, unless you look at the combustion chambers. And, if your serial number does not have X1 after it, it is likely distillate or kerosene, if the engine is original. Also the original hood will have a hole in it for the starting tank.
