Super M?

Just got a nice 'm' tractor for a song and a dance, but, the ser# is not ledgible...any immediate way to tell if it is M or Super M? I think i'm looking in the right spot, left side sitting on the tractor, top of clutch housing...it's either just covered in paint or plate gone. Thanks
