In upstate New York, the price ranges from $1000 to $3500. Key factors driving price: 1. Do the three hydraulics valves work and no slop in handles? 2. Does the Fast Hitch go up and down under load with no chatter? 3. Does the TA work in low range with no slip under load? 4. Does the Live PTO clutch slip under load? 5. No play in steering 6. Rear Rims in good shape? 7. Power Steering? 8. Shifts solid, no jumping out of 4th gear 9. Rear Tire condition 10. Solid clutch, no slipping or chattering 11. Brakes work and hold 12. General condition of things like radiator, generator, wiring, exhaust stack, steering wheel. A farmall 300 in excellent shape for $3500 to $4000 is a better value than a poor one at $1000. Any hydraulic problem eats up monies very quickly.
