Mitch: My 63 140 has the sealed beam with, red back and bulb behind the sealed beam to shine through the red back of sealed beam. That rear light however has rotary switch on light. My tractor had a head light missing when I got it. I bought a matching light with no rotary switch, thinking it was a headlight. When I took it apart, it turned out to be just like yours. I converted it to a headlight by removing small bulb and changing the sealed beam. My 656 operated somewhat like your tractor in some respects. It had 4 head lights, two rear working lights and flashers on the fenders. As I recall it had OFF plus D and B whereby the flashers operated, without rear working lights. It also had a 4th position whereby flashers stopped and rear working lights came on. I think that 4th position said something like BR meaning bright and rear.
