We need more info, Do this test, or explain more. With tractor off turn on lights. If amp gauge goes up towards the right, the amp gauge is in backwards. If it goes down toward left, it is correct. If downwards when running, the charging system needs help, and we will need: The battery voltage, type of generator or alternator, regulator (if any) ground polarity (Positive, or Negative gound). and what the symptoms are.
