ste: One of the biggest scames of the past three decades has been the "additive" industry. You go into any automotive store today and the shelf space dedecated to additives is rediculous. Most good quality products, be they fuel, oil, antifreeze, etc., etc., etc. are products designed to work. Your Farmall B will work very well on plain old 87 octaine, no lead gasoline. It is neither a high performance nor high rpm engine. I've burnt thousands of gallons of plain old 87 octaine. no lead gasoline in 4 Farmall gassers over the past 30 years, and as it came from the factory. One of the tractors a Farmall 300 my dad bought new is now on it's 6th set of pistons and sleeves. The bottom end of these engines will require rebuilding long before the head.
