I have been told by an electrical expert that when converting the older farmalls over from 6 volt to 12 volt, that the starter motor should be redone to better handle the additional voltage. I haven't been able to find any posting that mentioned this requirement when converting to 12 volts. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I just resently purchased a 230 and am in the process of working through the tractor fixing problems (stuck starter for one)to try and get it to run properly. I'm learning as I go and you all have been lots of help in the past.
