I am going to start looking closer at the carb now. I found that the previous owner drilled holes in the bottom of his exhaust manifold; I suppose to keep water from backing into the cylinders. The exhaust gasses out the holes flows right past the carb (I have plugged them). I'm wondering if it may have gotten hot enough to warp that alluminum. I took the carb apart and cleaned it good and put a kit in it but.. It has signs of being hot. In a nutsshell "THANKS GUYS!!!!" It is running much better.
