I left a H outside last night and we had about 2 inches of rain. Decided to start it up and dry it out. Turned fuel on, pulled ignition switch, and then turned to dump water out of the seat pan. By the time I turned around there was smoke all around the engine. I shut the ignition switch off and the wire to the coil was plenty hot. I don't think the switch was on more than 30-60 seconds. I have accidently left the switch on before and drained the battery, but haven't heated up the wiring like today. I pulled the distributor and replace with a magneto until I can find out what the problem may be. Any Ideas? Thanks-John
