Press on gear with no provision to pull off I drill and tap and use a puller to remove it. I then drill and tap the center of the cam to reinstall. On a 123 I drill and tap 2 5/16 bolt holes in the gear. I usually drill and tap the cam to accept a 7/16 stud and use a thick size washer and nut to pull it back on. The gear and cam will drill and tap easy. Keep’r’ straight. If you plan to remove the cam then the cam should come out with the gear. You kin also do this to the crank gear if needed.
