Pull the top link cover plate off and look over on the right side of the housing and up a littel and you will see a arm (lever) comming down from the top and a arm (lever) comming up from the bottom . See if the one from the top is on the back side of the one cooming up from the bottom , if not then pull the draft sencening lever on the control QUAd to the rear and hold it in place with a tarpstrap and with a hook or atleast a pair of gloves pull the top lever back and hook it on the back side of the bottom one .Now i have found on some that with the age and ware and tare that YOU MAY have to take an flat washer and weld it on the far side of the bottom lever so the top can not slide past and come un hooked. Now if that is not the problem then it is in the valve and may require removeal of the whole top off the rear end for feather service.
