Lyn I'm sorry I'm a bit late but I didn't get to YT last night. I have a WD9, 1945 with cast brake pedals and a W9, 1949 with fabricated brake pedals like you have described. It seems as though the change was a running change not necessarily linked to the introduction of the Super series. As a matter of interest my WD9 has the old "Kangaroo Tail" gear lever and the W9 has the later linkage type gear shift. That change was made at No. 47256, but my parts book does not mention when the brake pedal change was made. The cast wheels you mentioned would have been made in Aus. at the Geelong Works, in fact you can often see the words Geelong Victoria imprinted on the wheels.Regards, Redfan.
