I was wondering how many different factories did International Harvester have, where were they located, and how many are still around. This just popped in my head when i was thinking of the Rock Island one being demolished, because i have been to Rock Island at least half a dozen times, unfortunitly i never got to go see the outside of the old factory. Its so sad to see a big piece of history destoyed. Also it made me think of how lucky my family is, we own a small candy company in Souix City, IA. The city has been threating to tear down the old original plant where the Candy and dead fruit company were located. They have been threating for close to 20 years. That building is at least 130 years old. A few years ago they tore down the old company storage building across the street that my grandpa owned. Its so sad to see a big piece of history destoyed.
