$1200 for my '48 model bought in 2003. Needs paint, I was told it had an overhaul, but who knows (valve cover gasket and the head gasket were new.) $3000, that's probably getting close to top for most restored ones, but $4000? You show me a buyer wanting to pay that and I might go ahead and go through mine, of course it'll cost me $2000 (or more) to make it like new and then there's no profit.
