No, just the opposite. The old front mounts can't touch a rear mount for accuracy and speed, especially in a rolling type cultivator. Also, you don't have to "drive" a rear mount like you do a front mount. The stabilizer disc holds a rear mount on the row and allows for "wandering" of the tractor to a certain extent. Speeds of 5 mph are commonplace on a rear mount while doing a perfect job of cultivating a 2" tall crop. Try that with a front mount and you are down to 1 to 2 mph and then you can't get the soil flow needed to throw the dirt in around the plant. Allan
