Sounds like low compersion. The rings are probly bad. I had a Junk Deere like that. Wouldn't start without either. It didn't use any oil either. The compersion rings were shot. I was doing feild work with the Junk Deere, and #5 piston crack in half. Then I had to have the motor rebuilt. Would save me money if I had it done much soner.
