I wanted to do the same thing on my C. I had trouble finding all the required parts to make the swap. You need to get not only the pump, but you also need the rear body that bolts to the block, the pulley, and the top water outlet. You will also need to make sure you have a good thermostat in there. I personally have never had long-term success with a thermostat. Seems like these need replaced every couple years. My thermo siphon system works well and needs nothing but regular antifreeze changes for corrosion resistance. Personally, I feel, for the money spent you will have little benefit.
