Patrick, why don't you just get you a 3 point mower instead of chopping that one up? You have a tractor it fits as is. # point 1300 mowers can be bought here at sales for less than 300 dollars as londfg as they have IH instead of Frd or New Idea on them. Don't make since to me since all 3 are IH mowers. I haven't bought any mower parts in several years as I baought a bunch the last time I did. Then pitman sickles were around 40 dollars, rock gaurds were around 6.50 a piece, takes 28 of them for a 7 footer. Combine gaurds are cheaper as they are doubles. Work very well if you don't have rocks. They also don't use ledger plates in those. The last new pitman rod I bought was 12.95 not including the ends. The lower end assembly with both cast straps, spring and latching lever will run around 50 to 60 bucks. I don't think the other end is available new now. If it is it will be higher than 50. I make most of my pitman rods out of White Oak, sawed out on a table saw and milled on a jointer to make them look nice. I can provide the correct measurements if you need them. I still use rivets as that is what I have and am use to. I also use the underserrated sections so I can sharpen them with a 4 inch grinder. These are great old mowers and will cut with modern mowers if in good condition. Parts such as belts and bar parts are still available from IH. Bearings can be had there or any good bearing supplier, they are common bearings. I haven't had any luck finding complete sickles at TSC or IH lately. The heads for them are available from IH
