Made a quick trip over the mountains to go look and hopefully buy two farmalls but got there and they were quite misrepresented. One was MTA and the other a 39 M. So left a low bid on both and pulled my empty trailer back on the rosd. 20 miles down the road I see a model 100 manure spreader setting like its yard art so I pull in and buy it and load it . The guy says I have another old I.H. out back that I got at an auction 3 years ago and have lost interest in getting going. It turns out to be a 1949 OS-4 all original and very nice shape. We put a battery, little bit of gas and it turns over about 6 times and fires off. He had never heard it run so I said drive it on the trailer with the spreader. Now we have a load and I can go home. Got back at 4:30 this morning. slept a little while and then have been power washing and cleaning on the thing. I've never owned any standard tractors but I think I'll keep this thing around. What can you guys tell me about the OS-4 good ar bad? Appears to be a 1949 model distillate model, hand clutch and appears to have the light brackets under the grill on the lower frame ? Kinda fun to drive around. Thanks Migraine
