Yes. The key is two parts of the problem. First is the status of the end frame bushing on the gear end. If it has more than .001 clearance (usually in the direction of gear thrust-kind of a diagonal direction)it will need to be rebushed. Check fopr housing wear also, if the gear teeth have scraped into the housing, it is usually toast. If the bearing is great, then go next to the seal/shaft.
The seal needs to be looked at for a replacement ("O"ring, or lip seal) and the shaft (if grooved) needs to be speedy sleeved. The housing may need to be bored out to accomodate a speedy sleeve if there is an "O"ring seal. Best of luck, Jim
