I finally have the Cub back together, new radiator from this site, recently welded engine block on the front mount where they all break. I timed it after complete assembly and I was able to tow it to run. At first it was very rough, but I tweaked the timing and it smoothed out to purring perfectly. After about 5 minutes of running beautifuly, it sputtered and died. I towed it more and was able to get it to run, but only for a minute or less, then it sputtered and died again. I did this several more times then lost interest as the snow started and it was cold. It starts very hard every time. I suspect carburation, but any other thoughts before I tear the carb apart again? My feeling is that if it were timing or ignition, it wouldn't purr perfectly one second then die the next. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks.
