Hi,
I thought I'd show you guys the part I made for my Farmall H. My Farmall H has always had a problem in the winter that the top of the carburetor would get ice building up on it and the tractor ran very bad. My H always starts fast and runs excellent, but when the carburetor ices up from the cold air being sucked into the carburetor, it totally messes up the way it runs. I once asked a tractor man why my H had this problem, and he said my air cleaner was probably plugged. I cleaned it, and it still had the problem. Here is what I did. I took a heater pipe and cut a hole in the side of it. I put a rubber hose in the hole and made sure it fit in tight, then I put some duct tape around it to seal it up. I removed the air cleaner top and put the end of the hose into the air cleaner pipe. Now, the tractor takes in hot air from the heat of the outside of the muffler. Now the tractor does not have the ice up problem and it runs excellent in the cold too! I thought I'd show you this just in case your tractor has this problem. This part is easy to make and makes a huge difference!
