There is at least one other diesel starting method that you do not have. It is the starting cartridge used by the 40 hp diesel single cylinder Field Marshall tractor made in England and exported into Canada during the fifties. It used a specially loaded shotgun shell. I saw another brand that used the same system but cannot remember the name. There is also the Lanz tractor built in Germany that used an externally heated hot bulb system for igniting their diesel. It was manufactured from the thirties through the sixties. It is also possible that some outfit made a compressed air starting diesel.
