Whoa, that's stranger than Peanut Butter. Once it starts running, does it run til you shut it off, or does it eventually run dry and quit? If the lines on both sides are free, it's pretty well gotta be the pump. I can think of three things: 1. Some sort of restriction in the cast passages between the disc valve and the outlet. 2. A problem in the pump drive. It drives from a pushrod off the cam to a rocker on the pump. I had mine on and off three times before I got the drive to work right, and I'm still not sure what was happening. The first two times, the pump would rock up and down like the pushrod was too long. 3. A problem with the diaphram, causing the pump not to move enough fuel at pulling/cranking speeds. Check on this stuff and let me know what you get, and I'll think on it a bit while I'm waiting.
