I finaloly got to the point of trying to start my H last night! I had soldered the cables and wired up the tractor myself, and I think I did something wrong. I cranked it a few times and some sparks shot out behind the starter switch. They ignited some gas I had spilled over the tank while fueling it! I jumped off the tractor and ran into the garage to find my fire extinguisher, but couldn't find it! When I ran back the entire back end of the tractor was in flames! I managed to kick off the parking break so the tractor could roll to the street away from my house in case it blew up. My wife called the fire department which took about 10 minutes to get there, but it was too late. Fire scorched the entire top of the H and melted the tires! I feel lucky I wasn't hurt, but now I don't have a tractor!
