Just kidding! You were gonna check on a W-9 exhaust manifold for me I think. Also, I kinda remember the guy with the tractor I"m looking at saying the carb was missing too, so check and see if you have any W-9 carbs.

No big deal if the manifold(s) aren"t any good, I see there"s new ones available on ebay for less than 200 bucks(maybe some on this site too- haven"t checked yet?)

Have a safe trip!

Sorry, can't help with the credit cards or bank statements...

W-9 manifold and carburetor are a no. I know one of my tractors was missing the carb, and the manifold was rusted through from sitting full of water.

I think the only real useful W-9 parts I have left would be 4 connecting rods and 3 pistons. Not sure of the bore size of them, either. And I might just keep those just in case I have trouble with mine...

Glenn F: I am taking this part of my life and putting money away for retirement so that someday I can live on the farm and play on a few acres. With current fuel, fertilizer, and chemical prices, I'm happy to have a steady paycheck from working as a teacher. Being a teacher also provides me with vacation time to spend on the farm (where I regain my sanity!). Overall, I am happy - I know that what I'm doing now will provide me with enjoyment later on in life.

Now that I have my own house with a bigger garage I plan to haul some engines down here in the fall to tinker with on weekends, etc. Maybe even get a tractor hauled down here to restore in the next year or two. The "big" project will be my '51 IH pickup, just don't have the income to support that restoration yet.

Mike CA: It was basically just those wire clips, right? I don't think UPS shipping would be too bad on a steering post... what's wrong with yours?

Today's Featured Article - The 8N and the Fox - by Zane Sherman. Dec. 13 1998, Renfroe, Alabama. Last niht I dreamed about the day that I plowed the field of about 10 acres over on what Jimmy and Dandy called the Ledbetter field. I was driving the 1948 8N Ford tractor that Jimmy bought in 48 new This was prebably in about 1951 and maybe even befor the house was built. This would have made me to be about16 years old and I drove the tractor for nothing and would have paid to drive it if I had had any money which I didn't, but neit ... [Read Article]
