Hi IntHarv, we had a 434(same frame as 424) do the same thing. Sometimes you could retrace your shift steps and get the gear shift lever to pop back into the correct shifter fork. Example yours is stuck in Rev and if you were going to second, then go to second and bring the shift lever half way over to rev side and go back to neutral and hopefully the shift lever will catch enough of the rev shifter to return it to neutral. If that doesn't work then do as the others have said, remove shift lever and align shifters with big screwdriver.
