The scrapper has a few more too!! But I told him, dont take em in to junk,,,, Ill help ya find people that needs parts or buy the whole thing. I seen a few more M's and H's,,, 2 long dash JD A's, (not stuck but rough) IH B in pieces, oliver 88 with real nice sheet metal but engine is stuck, a burned up 560 gas, but not stuck and savable or good parts,,, IH 806 gas which I knew was a runner 5 years ago,,, narrow front, 3pt hitch. I have to say not so much as a scrapper,, he loves the old machines, and picked the worst one to take in,, which was the one I bought,, the 45 M,, serial number 100749. Turned out, after inspection, it was in real nice shape, and not more than reassembly is all it would take to put the chassis back together, he unbolted everything,, didnt use a torch to remove any thing!! Gears look super, the brakes were replaced at some point and looked great, no rough edges from grinding gears,,, they look grrreat!! Only thing I did not get was the radiator,, he needed it for another project so I said I have one already so no problem. The upper bolster is broke,,, Id say this is why they parked it in the first place,,, probably found a hole and dropped it in and SNAP!! Id love to find a wide front end for it, or put one on my 50 M that I pull/work with. The 12 volt conversion was the thing that got me,,,, someone did a nice job on the swap,,,, and was wondering if any kind of conversion was available aftermarket way back when,,,, because nothing apears to be home made as far as the brackets are concerned. I do have a real nice 300 row crop Id like to fix up or maybe sell,,, also a cub lo boy with a 60" mower deck, looks like a 300-350,,, ran when it was parked but smoked a little bit,,,, dad had rebuilt the engine, but never ran it enough to really break it in. Has live hyd. I had seen one all fixed up and was a nice machine!! Chad

Like most features of our life, few things are all good or all bad, and most such judgments depend on our own perspective or viewpoint. In our particular hobby, we enjoy the nostalgic return to the days of our youth as we recreate many of the scenes that took place on the family farm that served as the stage for the first few acts of the play that is our live
