A leaking seal on the jet will not cause fuel to spill out the intake. More than likely you have trash in your tank that is not allowing the needle to seat. Flush the entire fuel system.
i am sorry if a gave bad info, i could have sworn the main jet sat below fuel level and can be suspect to leakage if not sealed right.......
