Ken: As the owner of 154/184 tractors I can answer your questions. 1. The 184 probably has a Woods deck (much better than the IHC)Woods uses one continuos belt. 2.The electric clutch is a plus(silent). 3.Yes the 184 uses a conventional ring gear/starter/alternator arrangement(see archives and my reply re:154 charging problem). You can convert your 154 to this set-up. 4.The thermo./siph. works fine, but you must keep the a/f level up.Don`t know if anyone makes a pump but it would`nt take much to adapt an auto pump or a electric pump like they use on some inboard boats. 5.The 184 also has other improvements,it`s really the one to get. 6.The 184 dropped the loboy&cub names they also became red and joined the full size tractor line.(again search the archives for 154,184,185 stuff) KEN,maybe you or others can help me. I recently rebuilt the engine on my 184.I think it vibrates more than it should, this is in comparison with my 154. When you`re up to top governed speed does your sheet metal vibrate loudly? mine does and it`s bothering me..........thanks,MIKE K.
