My 4020 is a fine tractor and it works hard. I'm not at all familiar with the 1066 other than that is also a real good peice of equipment. The 1066 is too big for my hay operation but I think it's resale value is alot higher. It's a good looking tractor in excellent 110% condition. With a 4 day weekend and no pressing chores, I'm going to run it and see how it sounds (turbo-howl) and feels... The hardcore JD fanatics tell me I'm nuts to even consider trading the 4020.
