Whine typically sounds like a spinning pump being starved with not enough fluid behind it because of a plugged filter and/or screen. Clean screen and replace filter.
Whine could also come from air sucking past the seal to the tranny. Add an extra 5 gallons of hytran to the tranny to cover that seal and you may be good to go. People do this all the time and doesn't hurt it.
You can also get a whine from a stuck open bypass because of some crud or something holding the ball open. Sometimes the spring breaks.
Could be a sticky piston in a valve not centering right or the lever linkage is messed up.
What was it doing before you replaced the pump? Apparently it was whining before. Where is the whine coming from? Sometimes replacing a pump will get you enough extra flow again to make something work but doesn't fix the root problem. Replacing a pump is the final option to me. Let us know.
