If it blows fluid out the vent and it's not overfull when cold and you check it, it must be getting air in the system from somewhere. First thought would be pump shaft seal, but with a new pump and nothing changed, that's out. Next would be sucking air from the reservoir due to the suction line not being below the oil level, or a hole in a line or loose fitting. You would think it will leak out when not running then, but not always. Something in the relief valve block like the other post is also a good possibility.
