Just saw your msg, don't log on that often. There is a grease fitting for the release bearing, you take off the access cover that has the two 9/16" bolts on the underside of the clutch housing. My M did a similar thing a few years ago, the carrier (don't know what else to call it) for the throw out bearing was worn, causing the bearing to seize. Made a heck of a racket & a lot of smoke. Good luck on your project!
