Hi gang,
I have a 49 M that is in reasonable condition. I am removing certain parts and 'cleaning up' their appearance by stripping the paint to bare metal, cleaning with acetone and then priming and painting. I have completed a couple of parts. I am using IH 2150 paint.
My question is, once I have the parts in the IH paint, then what? I am satisfied with the appearance. I don't want this to look like a perfect high gloss high priced paint job. Is there anything I should top-coat the paint with? Or should I leave it as-is? Again, I am happy with the appearance...but is there something I should do as more of a protectant, or do you think I am OK just the way it is?
