Ray, I would say that the purchase price of a $35,000 Kubota (small tractor) is important. You want the best price and the best dealer. You could pay + or - 10% and be stuck with an uncaring dealer. But when you buy a 40+ year old machine of unknown quality with no warrantee, why worry about the price. If you want it, get it. If you don't like it later, sell it for what you paid for it. It isn't going to depreciate. I have a feeling that a small profit or loss isn't going to be a life changing event for you.
