I just came up with another question while working on the tractor. I have two brackets that hold the steering column up, the one that is attached to the hydraulic control tower. One is a long steel tube and one is a shorter cast iron bracket. I looked in my farmall books and some tractors have one and some the other. Is there any way to know which one is correct?
