Find a piece of neoprene hose that fits in the hole. Put a small flat head machine screw in the hole, with a washer then a nut. The washer is on the outside of the fix. The assembly is pushed in until the washer hits the body of the pump.
Then use pliers to hold the shank of the screw, while tightening the nut. This expands the rubber making a permanent fix. Jim
