When I moved here my neighbor was an 80 year old farmer across the road. He worked half the township and when something broke he more often than not would cut a piece out of the old wire fencing around the field and cobble it back together rather than drive all the way back to the shop and do it "right". He was my neighbor and friend and his resourcefulness was just about endless. When he passed there was an actual line to get into the funeral home. He would be back earning a living while most would be in the shop waiting on parts.
