Our 656 auxillary valves started letting cylinders creep down a few years ago--although we never noticed it on double acting cylinders, single acting is what brought it to our attention. I just added a second remote and that one leaks down much faster than the original single. I am considering adding an IH OE pilot operated check valve to the plumbing which is the original IH steel tubing manifold assembly. The valve I found is either number 374083R92 or 544840R91. The 656 is primarily used to cut hay and the discbine has single acting lift cylinders.
How should double acting pilot operated check valves affect single action and the float position? I was thinking to plumb the lift circuit to the valve and leave the drop as is like a 400 fast hitch is supposed to be. Our 1256 has the lock valves on it, but creeps down too--single action cylinders work on that tractor but maybe only because of the creep issue.
