Red, the throttle hasn't been exactly right since I have had this tractor. When I got it the engine seemed to run at about 1/2 speed with the throttle in the wide open position. I checked the governor and found the high speed stop lacked approx one inch reaching it. I fabricated a new throttle rod from the bell crank to the governor control. I made it about 3/4 inch longer then I could get full speed. I also put a shorter spring on the governor control and the engine responded well. Since I have overhauled the carborator I have had to put the old rod back on and the old spring to get it to idle down. I don't know!!!! This tractor is my have to work on tractor. I have a 1942 H that I love that is a want to work on tractor. Thanks for your help. Ed
