Last week I promised to report back on the issue of introduction of turbo's on USA and Neuss tractors. The first Neuss built IHC tractor with a turbo was the D442, which had basically the same engine as the D439 but equipped with turbo compressor. The D442 was first released around 1969. D442's are very rare. In 1974 or 1975 the IHC tractor model 1246 was released, with turbo as standard equipment. The engine is the D358. This engine is also used in the American model 886 tractor, if i'm well informed. I do not know where the engine was developed but probably in the USA. Hope this helps. Hendrik
